3D Printing:
3D printing is a technique that allows you to turn digital models into tangible products in the twenty-first century. With increasing access to 3D printing machines and materials, this technology is fast evolving. This is a cutting-edge tool for engineering and communication in medical and biomedical sciences. 3D printing changes the way we engage with data and communicate science to non-experts. In geoscience teaching and research, as well as associated businesses like petroleum recovery, groundwater storage, and carbon dioxide sequestration, the creation of repeatable, physical models is becoming more common. One of the most significant benefits of 3D printing is that all of the procedures involved in the construction of a 3D object, from design to printing, help the learning of concepts and tools, as well as the development of creativity and communication abilities. Earth science data is frequently depicted in three dimensions, and 3D printers can provide this three-dimensional visualisation as well as a tactile aspect.
In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0, the digital and physical worlds converge—fueled by the spread of technologies many companies have started welcoming and implementing technologies and preparing for the future so that smart machines can improve their business and always be competitive in the market.
3D printing is a significant future technology that allows companies to minimise costs, shorten time to market, make stronger and lighter items, increase productivity, and solve a variety of other problems. That is why it is critical for students to acquire a working knowledge of technology in the global economy of the twenty-first century. Because the landscape for job searchers will alter as the 3D printing industry evolves, it's vital for today's students to become familiar with the programmes and tools required for 3D printing.
